A booking will be confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total price.

The balance must be paid one month before arrival.

Cheques should be made payable to D R & J May or you can pay by bank transfer or by paypal or credit card via the payment link on our website.

You can either use the book now button, email or ring us with details of your chosen dates and property.  We will then email you back telling you that we have the reserved the dates for you and requesting your deposit.

On receipt of your deposit we will email to say that we have received your payment and we will then post you a confirmation letter, invoice & directions.

The balance will then be due one month before the start of your holiday – we will email a reminder a few days before it is due and will receipt your payment by email.

If you book a holiday and we do not receive your deposit for 14 days the booking will be cancelled (we will contact you to make sure you have not simply forgotten and then to confirm that the booking has been cancelled)

If you wish to change/amend your booking, an amendment fee of £30 (+VAT) will apply.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking or cancel any bookings already made (subject to refunding any money you’ve paid) without further liability on our behalf.

Please note that bookings cancelled within one month of arrival date will be subject to a charge of 80% of the total price unless the property is re-booked. If the property does become re-booked only the amount of the original deposit will be charged .

It is advisable to arrange cancellation insurance.

  • Check in time is 3.30 pm on the day of arrival – please help us by not arriving before then. Please also let us know if you will be arriving after 6pm.
  • Check out time is by 9.45am on the day of departure.

We are  happy to let short breaks during the low season (usually a minimum of 2 nights but we will try to be flexible).

Weekly rates include V.A.T., heating, electricity, bedding and towels.

Electricity for charging electric vehicles is not included in the rental price and you shall not charge an electric vehicle (car, mobility vehicle etc.) without our permission.  We will charge an additional fee for this service.  Please check with us at the time of booking. At the present time we charge £70 plus VAT per week per vehicle, this is payable in advance so please let us know if you intend bringing an electric vehicle.

 

Usually we do not object to an extra person staying and we can provide floor mattresses (subject to availability) but we will charge a nightly rate for each extra person staying above the sleeping capacity of the property. The rate is £10 – £20 per person per night. This charge does not apply to children under 3 years old. We must be told the exact number of visitors in each property for safety reasons.

 

If a booking (that is not Saturday – Saturday) overlaps two price bands it will be charged at the higher rate.

Beds are made up with fresh bedding prior to arrival and, for stays of over 1 week, we provide a change of linen.

We leave plenty of towels for use in the lodge but please bring your own beach towels.

We can proved travel cots and high chairs but we only provide a bottom sheet for the cots.

Please treat our property , our animals, the other visitors here and our staff with respect and consideration. 

For fire safety please do not smoke in any of our properties and, if smoking outside, dispose of  spent cigarettes and matches safely, do not light candles in the properties or on verandahs and please do not let off any fireworks .
